Notification of Copyright Infringement

  4. Good faith statement:
    • "I have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
    • "I hereby state that the information in this Notice is accurate, and I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
  5. Your full legal name and your electronic or physical signature.

Counter-Notice

If you believe that the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice to reinstate the material. The counter-notice should include the following:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
  2. Good faith statement:
    • "I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification."
  3. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Consent to jurisdiction: You consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Notification of Trademark Infringement

If you believe your trademark has been infringed, provide the following information:

  4. Statement of non-authorization: that the challenged use of your trademark is not authorized.

Notification of Other Intellectual Property (“IP”) Infringement

If you believe any other intellectual property rights are being infringed, please provide:

  1. Your signature or that of an authorized person.
  2. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email.
  3. Identification of the IP: including evidence of ownership and description of how it is infringed.
  4. Statement of non-authorization: that you have a good faith belief the IP is not authorized.
  5. Statement under penalty of perjury: confirming the accuracy of the information and that you are the IP owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

No Obligation to Adjudicate Claims
We are not responsible for adjudicating IP claims. While we may act on the information provided, we do not determine the merits of the claims. If content is restored after a takedown notice, the user agrees to hold Grumpy Journalist harmless from any resulting claims of infringement.
